BioHi, I'm Kelly! I am the mother of a little 3 year old boy. He is my life and I love him more than anything! Right now I am a SAHM but I am looking for a job.
I graduated in May 2006 from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a BA in East Asian Studies and Philosophy and two minors in Communication Studies and Religious Studies.
I am an active member on Swap-bot and Postcrossing (both as Lucky12324). I have made many friends on both sites and I hope to make many more on this site as well. I love trading and swapping with people from all over the world and I have started an lj group called I_Wanna_Trade so please feel free to check it out and join if you like!
I went to China in 2004 through the East Asian Studies program at my college. I took Mandarin Chinese for 3 years. I fell totally head over heals in love with China, it's culture, language, people, heritage, and food! I had so much fun when I was over there and I can't wait to go back someday. Some of the cities I visited were: Guilin, Shanghai, Beijing, Jui Zai Gou, Huang Shan, Xian, and Chengdu. I really wish I could go back to Beijing for the 2008 Olympics, that would be so much fun!
I fell in love with pandas when I went to China. I was lucky enough to get to go to Chengdu and visit the Panda Breeding and Research Center there. They are so cute and lovable. I have even started a collection of pandas that I keep on a shelf in my room now!
I fell in love with kawaii once I started swapping with people on the internet. For those of you who don't know kawaii means cute in Japanese. Some people are really picky about what is and isn't kawaii, but I'm not one of those people. My favorite kawaii characters are:

I was born and raised in Minnesota and while I like all Minnesota athletic teams I LOVE the Minnesota Twins. I try to watch as many games as I possibly can and I try to go to atleast one game a year. I would go to them all if I had enough money and time! I'm making sure that my son will be a Minnesota Twins fan, he's been wearing the apparel since he was a newborn and he already has his own baseball glove! Hopefully one day he will be a Twin!
I also love unicorns and I have a little collection of unicorns. My favorite unicorns are purple because purple is my favorite color. I really like unicorns because they are so mystical, beautiful, magical, and majestic. If I were a mythical creature I truly believe I would be a unicorn.
I am very proud of my family's heritage and history. I am Irish and I have fallen in love with Ireland, shamrocks, and clovers. I now have a collection of Irish, shamrock, and clover items that I'm very proud of. I love being Irish and I am proud that I'm Irish.
I have recently become increasingly interested in Native Americans. My son is 1/16th Chippewa on his father's side. I really want him to know about his heritage, ancestry, and roots. So I am looking into finding out more about the language, culture, and traditions.
